Kraj Vysočina (<\/font><\/span>www.kr-vysocina.cz<\/a>) tvoří  5 okresů - Havlíčkův Brod, Jihlava, Pelhřimov, Třebíč a Žďár nad Sázavou s poměrně řídkým zalidněním. Správním centrem kraje je Jihlava. Sídelní struktura kraje je rozdrobená, kraj Vysočina má 2. největší počet obcí. Nejpočetněji jsou zastoupeny obce s počtem obyvatel menším než 500. V těchto obcích žije asi pětina obyvatelstva kraje, což je největší podíl z České republiky.<\/span> <\/span>Leží v centrální části republiky.
